Liberation Children

Documentary and exhibition about the ‘liberation children’ who – often only years later – went looking for their father, for answers to questions they often shouldn’t have asked. Searching for a family secret that will remain a secret to some forever…

The documentary (directed by Frank van Osch) was broadcast by Omroep Max in the Netherlands. The exhibition (with photos by photographer Reg Gruson) opened in the Wings of Liberation Museum in Best and was shown at various locations throughout the Netherlands. The exhibition has been part of the permanent collection of the Arnhem War Museum since 2015.

Suzanne van Leendert, on behalf of Van Osch Films, organised the development, financing, research & production for both the documentary and the exhibition.
