Voor Multi Pilot Simulations werd er een filmpje gemaakt over de DC-3 simulator die ze ontwikkeld hebben; de enige gecertificeerde DC-3 simulator ter wereld!
Eerder maakte ik al de documentaire Broken Dreams, over het levensverhaal van een bijzonder vliegtuig dat gebruikt zou worden voor de musical Soldaat van Oranje. Tijdens het vervoer over de weg raakte deze oude DC-3 betrokken bij een ongeluk. Vleugellam moest ze afwachten hoe het met haar zou aflopen. In de film blikt het vliegtuig terug op haar turbulente bestaan terwijl mensen die haar kenden getuigen van hun liefde voor deze elegante en toch stoere ‘Queen of the Sky’.
MPS kwam in de gelegenheid om de cockpit van dit specifieke toestel aan te schaffen en besloot begon met het ambitieuze project er een simulator van te maken. Een uniek project!

Previously I had made the documentary Broken Dreams, about the life story of a special airplane that would be used for the musical Soldier van Orange. This old DC-3 was involved in a road accident during transportation. That left her future up in the air, so to speak. In the documentary, the plane looks back on her turbulent existence as people who knew and flew in her testify their love for this elegant yet tough “Queen of the Sky”.
MPS had the opportunity to purchase the original cockpit and decided to embark on the ambitious project to turn it into a simulator. A unique project!
