[:nl]U & Eye Media Productions biedt verschillende workshops die gegeven worden door Suzanne van Leendert. Hieronder worden enkele voorbeelden gegeven. Persoonlijke begeleiding is ook mogelijk.

Suzanne van Leendert produceerde vele documentaires en specialiseerde zich in het schrijven van documentaireplannen en de financiering daarvan (zie Projecten). Daarnaast is ze al jarenlang werkzaam als Engelse tolk en vertaler en schreef ze twee (Engelstalige) boeken. Het voortdurend bezig zijn met taal heeft ervoor gezorgd dat ze met een kritisch blik naar de inhoud kan kijken en, waar nodig, kan bijsturen.

Workshop Schrijven van een Projectplan
Elk idee, of het nu klein of groot is, zal op papier moeten worden uitgewerkt. Aan de basis van een succesvol project staat een goed uitgewerkt plan. Maar een goed plan schrijven is niet altijd makkelijk.

Hoe vertaal je jouw idee naar een verhaal op papier? Een verhaal dat passie voelbaar maakt en financiers overtuigt van de ‘noodzaak’ van de productie. Wat zijn de kenmerken van een goed plan? Wat mag absoluut niet ontbreken? Hoe schrijf je een plan dat eruit springt en nieuwsgierig maakt?

Deze workshop is gericht op professionals uit het culturele veld zoals documentaire- en filmmakers, kunstenaars, fotografen, etc.

Workshop Projectfinanciering
Financiering is iets waar vele culturele makers erg tegenop zien. Niet alleen omdat het veel tijd kost maar ook omdat ze simpelweg niet weten waar ze moeten beginnen. De weg vinden in het doolhof van fondsen, subsidies en regelingen blijkt in de praktijk niet altijd even eenvoudig. Evenals het zoeken naar sponsoring of het opzetten van een crowdfundingproject.

In deze workshop beginnen we bij de basis. Hoe maak je een goede begroting? Wat is een dekkingsplan? Waar vind je financiering en hoe? Hoe overtuig je financiers? Elk project is anders en afhankelijk van het onderwerp en het medium (bijvoorbeeld een documentaire, tentoonstelling of boek) ga je zoeken naar de meest geschikte vorm van financiering. Naast verschillende fondsen en subsidieregelingen komt ook sponsoring en crowdfunding aan bod.

Suzanne van Leendert has produced many documentaries and specialises in the writing of documentary plans and financing (see Projects). Besides this, she has spent years working as an English interpreter and translator and wrote two (English) books. By being constantly busy with languages, she can review the content of a plan with a critical eye and adjust it where necessary.

Workshop: Writing a Project Plan
All ideas, whether big or small, need to be committed to paper. A good idea is just that – a good idea – until it is committed to paper. Then it becomes a plan. It is essential for the success of your project that your idea is converted into a well-written plan. However, writing a good plan is not always easy.

How do you translate your idea into a story on paper? A story that makes passion palpable and convince financiers about the ‘necessity’ of production. What are the characteristics of a good plan? What should absolutely not be missing? How do you write a plan that stands out and makes people curious?

This workshop is suitable for professionals in the cultural field; documentary and film makers, artists, photographers, etc.

Workshop: Project financing
Many filmmakers and artists feel a resistance when it comes to seeking funding. Not only because it takes a lot of time but also because they simply do not know where to start. Finding your way through the maze of funds, subsidy rules and regulations is not always easy in practice. Nor is searching for sponsorship or setting up a crowdfunding project.

In this workshop we start with the basics. How to make a realistic budget? Where to find funding and how? How to convince financiers? Each project is different and depends on the subject and the medium (for example, a documentary, exhibition or book). You will need to find the most suitable form of financing for each.
